Are You Great? Am I Great? So a couple of weeks ago I heard a really good sermon about being great. The Speaker said that "the greatness of a man is not measured by wealthy possessions, by the position he holds, or the status he has achieved, but by his servant heart." Wow, when I heard that I was ready to jump up! He continued to say that "God measures the greatness of a person's life by how many people he serves and how well he serves them." Wow again. It is so amazing to realize that God doesn't care about the things the world cares about- he doesn't care how rich you are, he doesn't care if you went to community college or an ivy league university, he doesn't even care what kind of car you drive. He looks past it all. He sees your worth and wants us to see the worth of others. The speaker also stated this, "I find my greatest expression in life, and the greatest release of God's anointing in my life, when I humble myself to serve other people". That is what life is about. Having a servants heart and loving others more than ourselves. I'll end with this last quote from the speaker... "The greatness of a person's life is not measured by duration, but by donation..." Let's stop worrying about what we can gain from this world, and instead focus on what we can give to the world. ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ Also, once again, I am so sorry for not writing for a while. It's really bad of me. But believe me, these past couple of weeks have been SUPER busy. Anatomy really takes up time haha. This week I was blessed. I had a break from classes and work and was able to breathe. God is good. I'm seriously going to start trying to post every week...or every two weeks, we'll see...
