I am in love with these African Turban Headbands! They come in two lovely colors-Dawn Blue and Sunset Orange. I got the fabric for these beautiful headbands from my trip to Ghana. On our last day in Ghana we visited an amazing market. It was filled with so many wonderful things. Handmade jewelry, ethnic shirts, house decorations, and stacks and stacks of gorgeous Ghanaian fabric. Ghana is well known throughout Africa for its beautiful textiles. I loved being able to look through all of the colorful fabrics and select the ones I would take home with me.
When I got home I laid the fabric out on my bedroom floor and just admired it. It was so amazing and I felt like I had a piece of Ghana home with me. As I sat hypnotized by the fabric, I thought, what am I going to do with all of this fabric? It deserves to be made into something, to be used, to be seen everyday. So I decided to make headbands out of them! I already loved headbands and wore them almost everyday and I also loved making headbands. So it was a win-win! Thus the African Turban Headbands were birthed and I am very proud of them. So check them out and wear a piece of Ghana on your head :)
