For now my traveling is done, and by "for now" I mean a couple of months, hopefully ;) Anyway this summer has been such an amazing experience. It is something I have been waiting for all my life. For the longest while I've wanted to travel and do mission work. I still can not believe I finally went to Africa! And Guyana was like a dream come true! My entire life has been affected by the Guyanese culture (since my parents are from Guyana). It was amazing to see a whole country filled with the culture I only saw glimpses of in my own home and daily life.
The one thing that these trips showed me is that I really do want to do missions with my life. It confirmed it all. But I learned that I definitely want to do long term missions. I think the hardest part of traveling this summer was leaving the country and the people behind. It was so hard to make real connections with the people and realize I might never see any of their faces again. I met many wonderful little children, I don't remember all their names, I might never see them again, and their faces might fade from my memory, but they will always have a chip of my heart. Cheesy but true! I really enjoyed writing this blog and just sharing my heart. And even though I don't have any trips coming up in the near future (not yet at least haha), I'm going to continue to share about my traveling desires, mission work I'm doing at home, and general heart to heart stuff. I would really love if you all kept reading this blog, but I guess in the end I'm just talking to myself and God... haha which is perfectly fine with me! Anyway have a wonderful day!
